Aktel donates sewing machines to deprived women

As a part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR), Aktel has donated sewing machines to a number of underprivileged women in cooperation with Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), a legal aids and human rights organisation that has been working for providing legal and other support services to the deprived citizens of the society.
In this connection, a special programme was arranged on ASK office premises where the sewing machines were distributed among the individuals as well as the trainees in Dhaka and Mymensingh districts recently, said a press release.
Former Adviser to the caretaker government and ASK Executive Director Sultana Kamal and ASK Senior Deputy Director Gita Chakraborty, Segufta Y Samad of Aktel, Senior Executive (Corporate Affairs) of Aktel Maliha S Mariam were present on the occasion.
