Aktel signs deal with GTL, MTL

Axiata (Bangladesh) Limited has recently signed an interconnection agreement with two interconnection exchange operators namely Getco Telecommunications Limited (GTL) and M&H Telecom Limited (MTL) at Aktel corporate office in the city, said a press release.
Aktel Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Michael Kuehner and GTL Chairman and Managing Director KM Khaled and MTL Managing Director Brig Gen (rtd) Mustafizur Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
Under the deal, Axiata will forward and receive its traffic from other ANS operators as well as IGW operators for international traffic via the interconnection exchange operators.
Also present on the occasion were, Aktel Chief Financial Officer Nora Junita Hussaini, Head of Regulatory Affairs Alloisus Mohan Ramaiah and General Manager Zahari Abdul Jalil.
