AL activist injured in gun attack in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Sept 25 (UNB) - A local Awami League activist was injured in a gun attack at Natudah Bazar in Damurhuda Upazila on Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Aser Ali,45.
Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Model Police Station, said a group of armed miscreants fired shots and hurled four crude bombs at Awami League leader Yeas Nabi when he was gossiping with 6/7 leaders and workers, including Aser, in the area at about 8:30 pm, leaving Aser seriously injured.
Aser was rushed to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
A tense situation was prevailing in the area.
A case was filed in this connection.
