Al-Arafah Islami Bank elects Alhajj Salim Rahman as chairman

Alhajj Salim Rahman has been selected for the role of chairman at the Al-Arafah Islami Bank.
He was elected unanimously in the 403rd board meeting of the bank, which took place on Sunday.
Rahman, the son of Alhajj Khalilur Rahman, hails from a Muslim family of Chattogram. His father is a prominent businessman and founder of the KDS Group, which is one of the largest industrial groups of the country.
Rahman is currently holding the position of Managing Director at KDS Group, which consists of KDS Garments Industries Ltd., KDS Accessories Ltd., KDS Apparels Ltd., KDS Logistics Ltd., KDS IDR Ltd., KDS Textiles Ltd., KYCR Coil Industries Ltd., Steel Accessories Ltd., and KDS Poly Industries Ltd.
Rahman has been serving as the director for 24 years at Al-Arafah Islami Bank and another private bank.
