AL \\\'believes in good relations with India, not with any party\\\'

Publicity and Publication affairs secretary of ruling Awami League (AL) Dr Hasan Mahmud said Monday his party believes in betterment of relations with India, not with any particular party of that country, reports BSS.
"The present government believes in the policy of maintaining good relations with neighbouring India for the sake of internal and regional security. We believe in betterment of relations with India, not with any particular party of that country," he said.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said, "There's no benefit for BNP to be delighted with which party assumed power in India as they pursue anti-India politics."
The AL leader said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
Awami Muktijoddha Projanma League organised the discussion at VIP auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity at Segunbagicha marking the 33rd Homecoming Day of AL President Sheikh Hasina.
AL assistant secretary Asaduzzaman Durjoy chaired the discussion, also addressed, among others, by Dhaka City AL publicity secretary Abdul Huq Sabuj, agriculture affairs secretary Engineer Lutfur Rahman, AL assistant secretary Advocate Balaram Poddar and Awami Olama League president Ilyas Hossain Bin Helali.
