Sunday, 17 August 2014

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has accused Awami League (AL) of indulging in rampant extortion on the occasion of National Mourning Day. She said through such act the party has dishonoured their leader. Speaking to a delegation of Hindu community members on Saturday night, Khaleda Zia said businesses have been suffering due to the government’s wrong policies. ‘Businesses cannot operate. Yesterday on August 15, there was rampant extortion. By doing this, they have dishonoured their leader,’ she alleged. She lambasted the broadcast policy, saying it was a tool to destroy democracy. She alleged that corruption had spread at all levels of the society. ‘Nothing can be done without money. Even in jail you need to pay,’ the BNP chief said. The Hindu community had come under attack under this government, she claimed. 'We have to unite and take to the streets against this injustice,' she added, according to bdnews24.com.
