AL-BNP clash leaves 13 injured

SIRAJGANJ, Dec 9 (UNB): About 13 people were injured in a clash between BNP and Awami League (AL) activists at Sadar Upazila Parishad premises over dropping of tender schedules today (Wednesday).
Witnesses said the clash erupted at about 11:30am when BNP activists prevented AL activists from dropping tender schedules at the box kept at the Parishad office.
During the half an hour clash, police fired five blank shots from shotgun to disperse the feuding groups. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel visited the spot later.
Wednesday was the last date for submission of tender schedule of Upazila LGED for construction works amounting to Tk 0.90 million.
