AL-BNP gunfight leaves van driver dead

Noakhali, May 23 A van driver was shot dead and several other people were injured in a gunfight between activists of the Awami League and BNP at Amishapara Bazar in Sonaimuri upazila on Friday. The deceased was identified as Zaber, son of Montajul Hoque of Seba village in Ramgati upazila of Laxmipur district. Zaber who sustained bullet injuries during the gunfight was taken to Noakhali General Hospital where doctors declared him dead soon after admission. — UNB
