AL briefs diplomats on political issues

The ruling Awami League briefed diplomats stationed here on Sunday on the latest 'political issues' and claimed that attacks have been amplified on the AL leaders and activists in the run-up to the election, reports UNB.
Over 50 diplomats from different countries attended the briefing organised by the party's international affairs sub-committee at a city hotel.
Sub-Committee Chairman Ambassador Mohammad Zamir, International Affairs Secretary Shammi Ahmed and adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs HT Imam and former Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, among others, spoke at the programme.
Apart from the briefing, a booklet was launched titled 'From Mujib To Hasina - Awami League in the international arena,' illustrating the formulation and shaping of the country's foreign policies over the years to take the country to a newer height.
