AL does not believe in politics of killing: Tofail

Trashing BNP’s allegation that Awami League (AL) is a killer party, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Sunday said the ruling party is a democratic party as it always promotes democracy. “Awami League doesn’t believe in the politics of killing…Awami League believes in democracy…Sheikh Hasina doesn’t believe in the politics of killing. If she does so, she could have annihilated the killers of Bangabandhu instead of holding their trial under the existing laws of land,” he said. Tofail, also a member of Awami League advisory council, said this while addressing a photo exhibition programme organised by Awami Jubo League at Shilpakala Academy in the city, according to a news agency.
