AL factional clash leaves 1 dead in Netrakona

An Awami League activist was killed and 15 others were injured in a clash between two factions of the ruling party at Lepshia Bazar of Khaliajuri upazila in Netrakona on Friday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, 28, a local AL activist. Locals said there had been a longstanding dispute between Takwa union AL leaders Kuddus and Khalil over establishing their dominance in the locality, according to UNB.
