AL has enough power to deal with BNP: Razzaque
Friday, 3 June 2022
Agriculture Minister and Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque on Thursday said his party has enough power to deal with BNP politically, reports BSS.
"Different small political parties including the BNP are threatening of waging movement centring the upcoming general election in 2023 . . . AL itself is enough to deal with BNP politically," he said.
Dr Razzaque made the remarks while exchanging views with journalists after visiting Oushadhigram at Kholabaria in Sadar upazila of Natore on Thursday morning, said a press release.
The political parties threatened for several times but they were confined in threats, he said, adding, "They said that they will wage strong movements. We have faced those (threats)".
BNP wants to create instability in the name of movement and take the country backwards while AL wants to take the country forward by tackling BNP's movement, the minister said.
Noting that the present government is a legitimate and constitutional government, the AL leader said, "It is government's responsibility to ensure security of lives and property of all the people. So, BNP will not be allowed to carry out terrorist and anarchic activities in the name of movement".
Since Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has carried out tremendous development activities in the country's all sectors, Razzaque said therefore, the country's people are the foundation of AL.
