AL-Jubo League joint meeting in afternoon

A joint meeting of Awami League and its youth wing Jubo League will be held on Saturday to discuss preparations to make the ruling party’s programmes scheduled for January 5 and 10 a success. The meeting will begin at 4:30pm at AL president Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political official. The AL will celebrate ‘Democracy Victory Day’ on January 5, the 1st anniversary of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad elections, boycotted by the main opposition BNP and 19 other political parties in its bloc. On Jan 5, the AL has planned to bring out colourful rallies throughout the country simultaneously. The ruling party will also mark the Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu arranging a rally in Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka, according to a news agency.
