AL leader among 12 accused over deaths at stone quarry

SYLHET, Feb.27: A case has been filed against 12 persons with the Companiganj police station in connection with the deaths of five poor labourers in landslide while digging soil for stone.
Nasir Mia, inhabitant of Kolkota village under Jamalganj upazila and father of deceased Atabur Rahman, filed the case accusing upazila AL president Ali Amzad, who owns the stone quarry, and six named and five unnamed people, informed Officer-in-charge of Companiganj Police Station Shafiqur Rahman Khan.
