AL leader blames govt

A senior Awami League leader has urged the government to prioritise resolution of energy crisis, rising commodity prices and deteriorating law and order in the next budget, reports bdnews24.com.
The ruling party's policy maker Obaidul Quader Thursday also suggested higher allocation for research in agriculture and education.
He said budget should be oriented towards public welfare and development, rather than following traditional norms. "Terming a big budget as 'progressive' is like calling a blind boy, a 'star gazer'."
