AL leader chopped dead in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Sept 4 (UNB/ bdnews24.com): A local Awami League (AL) leader was chopped to death by miscreants at Jiudhara village in Morelganj upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Mozammel Shikdar,55, AL general secretary of ward no 9 of Nishanbaria union in the upazila and son of late Hashem Shikdar of the village.
Aslam Khan, officer-in-charge of Morelganj thana, said a group of miscreants attacked Mozammel and chopped him indiscriminately with machetes when he was returning home from mosque after Esha prayers.
