AL leader comes under attack, another’s chamber set ablaze

MAGURA, Nov 17: Awami League (AL) leader advocate Mahabubul Akber Kallal came under attack Sunday night while chamber of another AL leader Shakharul Islam Shakil was set ablaze.
Locals informed that advocate Mahabubul Akber Kallal, science and technology secretary of Magura district unit AL, was returning home from his chamber around 9pm Sunday night. At that time five to six miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons in front of Magura Government Women’s College. He was sent to the Magura Sadar Hospital in a critical condition.
On the other hand, just after the incident a group of miscreants set the chamber of another advocate and assistant publicity secretary of Magura district unit AL Shakharul Islam Shakil on fire.
When contacted, Magura police station in -charge Jahangir Alam admitted the incidents.
