AL leader found hanged in city

Police recovered the hanging body of a local leader of the ruling Awami League (AL) from his residence at Katasur in Mohammadpur area of the capital Thursday. The deceased was identified as Alauddin Alal (38), an AL leader of the ward no. 33, who used to live at 23/2, Katashore of the area. A team of police recovered the body from his bedroom at around 5:00am on information from his family members. Alauddin and his wife Shanta had been at loggerheads for long over a family feud, but police could not ascertain whether it was a murder or suicide.
