AL leader held with arms in Satkhira

A local Awami League (AL) leader was arrested along with firearms in Kaliganj upazila in Satkhira district on Saturday afternoon. The arrested is Ashraful Islam Khokon, 40, president of Ratanpur union unit of AL. Golam Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station, said on secret information, a mobile court led by executive magistrate Golam Nabi conducted a drive near Ratanpur High School polling centre and arrested him along with a pistol. Later, the arrestee was handed over to Kaliganj Police Station. A case was filed, according to UNB.
