AL leader injured in bomb attack

A local leader of Awami League (AL) sustained grievous injuries as he came under bomb attack by unknown miscreants at Tala upazila in Satkhira district on Monday. The victim was identified as Sheikh Abdul Aziz, general secretary of Tala’s Islamkati union unit of AL. Abdul Aziz said he came under attack by assailants when he along with his wife was sleeping in a room at Islamkati village in the morning. Miscreants hurled a bomb at them through a window of the house, leaving him critically injured. Officer-in-charge of Tala Police Station Matiur Rahman said police visited the spot and is investigating it, according to UNB.
