AL leader killed in Sylhet

A local leader of Awami League was killed when a truck hit his motorcycle in Jaintapur Upazila in Sylhet district on Friday. The dead is Mokhlesur Rahman Doula, 60, general secretary of Jaintapur Upazila unit of the ruling party. Witnesses said a stone-laden truck hit Mokhlesur’s motorcycle while he was returning home after attending a village arbitration, leaving him critically injured around 2:40am. Later he was rushed to Jaintapur Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead. The truck driver managed to escape with his vehicle, according to a news agency.
