AL leader sentto jail in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, July 6 (UNB): Baliadangi Upazila Awami League (AL) secretary and former upazila chairman Mohammad Ali was sent to jail Thursday.
The joint forces raided his cinema hall named Alberuni on May 9 in the town and arrested him for taking illegal connection of electricity from a pole.
He was produced in the District and Sessions Judge's Court at noon and the Judge Ruhul Amin Khandakar sent him to jail rejecting his bail petition.
