AL leader shot dead in Rajbari

A local Awami League leader was shot to death by unidentified miscreants in Rajbari Sadar upazila on Friday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Abdus Sattar, 45, president of ward-7 Awami League under Pachuria union and son of Sukhi Mahmud of Dayalbandhu village. Police said a gang of miscreants pounced on Sattar around 2:30pm while he was returning home after saying Juma prayers at a local mosque. The thugs chopped him indiscriminately and later opened fire on him to confirm his death, according to UNB.
