AL leader shot in city

Abul Kalam Azad (65), joint secretary of 37-no ward unit Awami League (AL), was shot and wounded by unidentified miscreants near BG Press in the city's Tejgaon industrial area Friday night, reports UNB.
Victim's son Alam said three armed criminals opened fire on Azad at about 8:30 pm while he was chatting with some of his party colleagues near his house, leaving him seriously wounded.
