AL leader\\\'s body recovered in city

Police recovered the body of a local leader of Awami League (AL) from his residence at Katashore under Mohammadpur Police Station in the city on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Alauddin Alal, 38, a leader of the ruling party’s Ward No. 33 unit, who used to live at 23/2, Katashore. Sub-inspector Shamsul Hoque of Mohammadpur Police Station said a team recovered the body of Alauddin from his bedroom around 5:00am after getting information from his family members. Police could not ascertain whether it was a murder or suicide, the SI said. Police picked up Shanta towards the police station for quizzing. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, according to UNB.
