AL men helped police attack us: Imran

Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker alleged that ruling party activists helped police attack them at Shahbagh Intersection in the city on Friday. “Police ‘unfairly’ attacked Mancha activists on Friday and the supporters of the ruling party assisted in the assault,” Imran alleged at a press conference at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University a few hours after a Mancha rally was foiled at Shahbagh. Imran, however, said Ganajagaran Mancha had no dispute with those who attacked its rally. “We launched the movement on February 5 (last year), when we did not get the desired judgment (in war crimes case against Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Molla),” Imran said. “The movement pursued different issues against the government when it felt necessary,” he added, according to a news agency.
