AL sends teams to cyclone-hit Barisal

Bangladesh Awami League Saturday sent one-relief team and a medical team to Barisal region, the worst-affected cyclone hit area of the country. Acting Awami League President Zillur Rahman told reporters at a press briefing at his Gulshan residence in the city. He asked party leaders and workers to stand beside the people affected by cyclone 'Sidr'. The government, Zillur said, should conduct massive rehabilitation and relief operation in the affected area. — BSS
