Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said on Tuesday a 22-member delegation of his party will pay a five-day visit to India soon, reports BSS.
"The schedule of the Awami League delegation's visit to Delhi will be fixed within two to three days," he told newsmen after Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla paid a courtesy call on him at the city's Setu Bhaban in Banani.
The visit will take place at the invitation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Quader said. It will be both on behalf of the party and the government, he added.
The AL general secretary said the delegation will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, BJP President Amit Shah and other high-ups of the Indian government.
