AL to observe Jail Killing Day

The ruling Awami League (AL) has taken various programmes to observe Jail Killing Day tomorrow (Wednesday), reports UNB.
The day will start with all AL offices, including Bangabandhu Bhaban, hoisting the national and party flags at half mast, hoisting of black flags and party officials wearing black badges.
The party will also arrange a discussion at the city's Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to attend as chief guest.
The four liberation war heroes-Syed Nazrul Islam, the acting President of Bangladesh government in exile in 1971; Tajuddin Ahmed, Prime Minister of the same government; M Mansur Ali, Finance Minister; and AHM Qamaruzzaman, Minister for Home Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation-were killed in custody by some Army officers.
