Wednesday, 4 June 2008

Awami League (AL) will observe Six-point Day in Dhaka and elsewhere in the country Saturday (June 7), reports UNB.

The day's programme will begin with hoisting national and party flags at the party offices across the country at about 5:30am.

The AL leaders and activists will place wreath on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Smriti Museum at about 8:00am.

A discussion will also be held at the party's central office at about 3:00pm with its acting President Zillur Rahman in the chair.

Acting general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam has requested people of all classes, including workers, leaders and supporters of Awami League and its party wings, to observe the day in befitting manners, said a press release Tuesday.
