AL won’t sit idle if BNP wages movement: Maya
Tuesday, 3 June 2014
About BNP’s threat to wage a movement after Ramadan, Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya on Tuesday said they will not sit idle if BNP launches the movement.
“BNP leaders have threatened to wage a movement after Ramadan. We’ve noticed such types of threat many times in the past. They had sat in their houses wearing bangles and saris after announcing action programmes. Will we sit idle if they wage a movement? Surely, we won’t,” he said.
Maya, also the general secretary of Dhaka city Awami League, said this while addressing a discussion organised by Muktijoddha Janata League at Awami League Bangabandhu Avenue office in the city.
Pointing at BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman, Maya said “the ways BNP leader talks, it seems that it’s not BNP; rather it’s a party consisting of mad people. There’s a stupid in the party. He is a political mad,” according to UNB.
