A meeting of the Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) will be held in the city today (Sunday), apparently to decide the fate of its presidium member Abdul Latif Siddique, now under fire for his derogatory remarks on Hajj, Tablig Jamaat and the Prime Minister's son, reports UNB.
The meeting will begin at 6.30 pm at the PM's official residence Ganobhaban with AL president Sheikh Hasina in the chair, said a press release Saturday.
In a statement Saturday, AL general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam urged all the ALCWC members to attend the meeting in time.
Party sources said the meeting will decide the fate of embattled AL presidium member Abdul Latif Siddique.
