Alfamart launches operations in BD

Alfamart Trading Bangladesh Ltd (ATBL) launched its business operations in the city on Tuesday to offer customers convenient and hassle-free shopping.
ATBL is a joint collaboration of Alfa Group (Indonesia), Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan), and Kazi Farms Limited.
ATBL opened its first Alfamart outlet at Delvista Tower, Gulshan Avenue in the city.
Alfamart operates under the tagline "Everyday Grocery Solution." The brand focuses on convenience, accessibility, and well-organised product categories for fast, hassle-free shopping, said organisers at the launching ceremony held in the city's first outlet.
Alfamart Indonesia founder Djoko Susanto, GM, Mitsubishi Corporation Hiroshi Uegaki, Deputy CRO, Asia and Ocenia Mitsubishi Corporation Tomoyuki Nishida, Mitsubishi Corporation-Indonesia vice president Shujiro Nishida, Director (Kazi Farms) Kazi Zahin Hasan, Managing Director (Kazi Farms) Kazi Zahedul Hasan & CEO Alfamart Trading Bangladesh Saiful Islam were present during the event.
The company plans to open more than 100 Alfamart stores across Dhaka in the near future.
To mark the opening, ATBL offered launch-day promotions, including price cuts on selected products, Buy One Get One (BOGO) offers, and free gifts.
ATBL said it aims to stay close to customers' homes and deliver value-driven retail experiences.
ATBL also plans to work with Bangladesh's SME sector by creating opportunities for local products and entrepreneurs inside Alfamart stores.
