Alijan Jute Mill workers go berserk in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, June 17 (UNB): Workers of Alijan Jute Mill went on a rampage Wednesday night demanding reopening of the jute mill and payment of their arrear salaries and allowances.
The unruly workers entered the bungalow of Managing Director Nurul Islam at 9:45pm, kept him confined there for one and a half hours and set his two cars on fire before police came to the spot and rescued him.
