\\\'All animal waste to be removed from city by Wednesday afternoon\\\'

Officials of the two city corporations have said that all the wastes of sacrificial animals will be removed from all the city wards and localities before Wednesday afternoon. Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) have strongly claimed that they would be able to complete the wastes disposal from the capital within next 48 hours, before Wednesday afternoon, since the disposal begun on Monday 12 noon. Talking to reporters, Chief Executive Officer of DSCC Ansar Ali said they are expecting 100% success in removing wastes of animals sacrificed on the Holy Eid-ul-Azha. Nearly 13,000 staff of the conservancy departments of both the city corporations are working relentlessly since Monday. The DNCC is using special insecticides, antibacterial medicine and special spray this year for eliminating bad odors. DNCC has given employment to some 4,500 additional employees along with their regular 2,700 workers for removing the wastes. The chief executive officer of DSCC said that they have distributed a total of 25,000 special type airtight poly-bags among the people concerned of the temporary cattle markets, large residential quarters and apartment complexes for instant preservation of wastes of sacrificial animals to ensure a safe city environment. He said DSCC is using 126 open trucks, 73 containers and 16 eco-friendly compact garbage removal vehicles under its special drive for removal of wastes of sacrificial animals, according to a news agency.
