Thursday, 26 July 2007

All the office-bearers and executive committee members of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) except Ahmed Iqbal Hasan and Shamim Kabir tendered their resignation from the board in two days till Wednesday, reports UNB.
Of the 31-strong BCB executive committee, members Ahmed Iqbal Hasan and Shamim Kabir are reportedly out of the country.
Following such en masse resignation, BCB President M Abdul Aziz today requested the NSC chairman to take necessary steps to fill the vacuum.
The BCB president, who is empowered to form a five-member advisory committee in absence of the executive committee, also mentioned that such an advisory committee would not be adequate to run the BCB properly.

Twelve office-bearers and members of BCB, including general secretary, two vice presidents, two joint secretaries and treasurer, sent their resignation letters to the board president M Abdul Aziz Tuesday.
