All efforts underway to bring Ramisa's killer to justice: Swapon

Condemning the murder of eight-year-old schoolgirl Ramisa, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon has said the entire nation is deeply saddened and shocked by the brutal incident, reports BSS.
The government has taken all necessary measures to bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible, following the existing laws of the land. The information minister made the statements while talking to journalists after a meeting of Sher- e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq Foundation at the International Mother Language Institute in the4 capital on Saturday.
He said the country's people have deep affection, compassion and sympathy for all the children and adolescents, including Ramisa, who have been subjected to inhuman torture.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman himself has stood by the bereaved family of Ramisa to express the nation's sentiment and condolences for the barbaric incident, he said.
Swapon said the government's strict legal initiatives and the anger in the minds of the people against this crime are being highlighted by journalists, creating public opinion.
based on this strong public opinion, the government would be able to formulate stricter and more effective laws in the future so that crimes such as child abuse can be eradicated from society forever, he said.
