All govt colleges in divisional cities reopen today

All government colleges in country's divisional cities will be reopened today (Saturday) following a government announcement in this connection, reports UNB.The authorities of all government colleges in the cities have decided to reopen their respective institutions Saturday.
In Sylhet, the authorities of Sylhet Osmani Medical College, Monmohan College, Government College, MC College and Govt. Women College have announced reopening their educational institutions today. However, student dormitories of the Osmani Medical College were already reopened Friday.
In Barisal, all government and non-government colleges will be reopened today. The BM College will resume classes from Sunday although halls of the college were already reopened for students.
In Khulna, all colleges will be reopened today, but Khulna University of Engineering Technology (KUET) will reopen Sunday.
The halls of the university were already reopened Friday.
The syndicate meeting of Khulna University will be held today to take a decision in this regard.
In Chittagong, all colleges will be reopened today.
According to BSS, academic activities of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) will resume tomorrow (Sunday) and students' dormitories will open today.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the university syndicate Friday with Vice Chancellor Dr Shyamol Kanti Bishwas in the chair, a CUET press release said.
The CUET authorities also announced the schedule of the postponed examinations.
As per the schedule, the first term examination (level-1) of the 2006-2007 session will he held on September 19 and 23, the first term (level-2) and the first term (level-3) of the same session will begin on September 23.
On the other hand, classes at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agriculture University will resume from September 12 and all residential halls will be reopened from September 11.
According to a press release of the university, the decision was taken Friday in an emergency meeting of the BSMRAU syndicate with vice-chancellor Lutfar Rahman Khan in the chair.
According to another report, the authorities of Bangladesh Open University (BOU) have decided to start all postponed tutorial classes on September 14.
Besides, all postponed examinations of the BOU will start on September 21 as decided in the 94th meeting of the Board of Governors of BOU held recently.
According to the decision, the postponed examinations will be held as per the previously scheduled place and time, a BOU press release said Friday.
However, fresh dates for the examinations will be announced through notification, it said.
