Alleged terrorist shot dead

An alleged terrorist was shot dead and the body was dumped by his killers at Konagati village beside Jamuna Bridge Bypass Road in Sirajganj Sadar upazila some time between Wednesday night and early Thursday. Police recovered the body of Joban Ali, 35, son of late Azizur Rahman of Bawaitara village in the upazila early in the morning. Habibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a patrol team of police spotted the bullet-hit body of Joban Ali in a field in the area around 1:45am. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj General Hospital for autopsy. Police claimed that he was a listed terrorist and one of the accused in local Awami League leader Saiful murder case. Unidentified assailants might have shot him to death for unknown reason, they said, according to UNB.
