Amader Gram ICT for Development Programme, Bangladesh

Amader Gram (Our Villages) ICT4D Project is building knowledge society under a pilot scheme (Action Research) that was supported by the Government of Bangladesh (July 2003 - June 2006) and currently by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Microsoft. It targeted 100 villages of Bangladesh by providing appropriate knowledge and ICT intervention that facilitates both skill transfer and employment creation and has enabled the villagers to get information that they need and can use to improve their lives. The project has recently initiated e-Health Program (Internet assisted Breast Cancer Screening and Treatment program) in collaboration with International Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Ohio State University, USA.
It has initiated a fellowship programme from the year 2004 for University students from in-country and abroad to capture knowledge for development. The following students have been honoured with successful fellowship offer under their specific academic research programme:

The Amader Gram ICT4D Project is offering fellowship for graduate students for the year 2011. Under this fellowship program selected students will be provided a full furnished secured accommodation with all facilities of secretariat services to work/study at field level with village community and also will get a scholarship support.
