Aman gets bail, Goyeshwar denied

Tuesday, 29 April 2014

The High Court on Tuesday granted bail to BNP Joint Secretary General Amanullah Aman in a case filed over the death of an Islami Chhatra Shibir leader in Dhaka last year. The HC bench of justices Nayma Hidar and Zafar Ahmed passed the orders following hearing over his bail petition in the afternoon. At the same time, the court turned down the bail plea to BNP Standing Committee member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy in the same case. The Shibir leader was killed at Malibagh Chowdhurypara in the city on December 29, 2013, in a violence during BNP-led the then 18-Party Alliance’s March for Democracy programme, according to a news agency.
