Aman harvest in Panchagarh shortly

PANCHAGARH, Nov 3 (BSS): Aman paddy was cultivated on 81,000 hectares in the district with a production target of 3,22,000 tonnes during the current season. According to Department Agriculture Extension (DAE), the paddy was cultivated on 22,000 hectares in Debiganj upazila, 16,600 hectares in Sadar upazila, 16,200 hectares in Boda upazila, 16,600 hectares in Atowary upazila and 9,600 hectares in Tentulia upazila. The DAE has supplied all necessary seeds, fertilizers and others agriculture inputs at fair price to the farmers to achieve the production target. The farmers said harvesting of the paddy will start within a few days.
