AMCL (Pran) AGM approves 28pc cash dividend

The 23rd annual general meeting (AGM) of Agricultural Marketing Company Limited (AMCL-Pran) has approved 28 per cent cash dividend for the year 2007-2008.
The AGM was held in the city Wednesday. A large number of shareholders attended the AGM, says a press release.
Among others, Chairman of the company Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Mahtabuddin Ahmed, Managing Director Major General Amjad Khan Chowdhury (retd) and directors Sabiha Amjad, Uzma Chowdhury, Md Muniruzzaman and Executive Director Md Eleash Mridha and Company Secretary Md Abu Kawser were present at AGM.
The company earned a pre-tax profit of Tk 38.94 million in FY 2007-2008 while gross turnover was Tk 1057 million and the total export figure was Tk 465.43 million (including cash incentive).
The shareholders thanked the management for achievements of the company over the years, the release added.
