AMCL (PRAN) approves 29pc dividend

The 24th annual general meeting (AGM) of AMCL (Agricultural Marketing Co Ltd) (PRAN) has approved 29 per cent dividend for its shareholders for the year 2008-2009.
The AGM was held at the National Shooting Complex at Gulshan in the city Thursday, according to a press release.
Lt Col (Retd) Mahtabuddin Ahmed, chairman of the company, Maj Gen (Retd) Amjad Khan Chowdhury, managing director, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, deputy managing director, Sabiha Amjad, Uzma Chowdhury, and Md Muniruzzaman, directors, Md Eleash Mridha, executive director, Choudhury Atiur Rasul, executive director (accounts), and Md Abu Kawser, company secretary, attended the AGM.
The shareholders of the company thanked the management for the achievement of the company over the years and made valuable suggestions for its improvement.
The AGM was told that the company reported a pre-tax profit of Tk 47.78 million while the gross turnover of Tk 1191.69 million.
The total export figure was Tk 469.04 million.
