American Express regional executives in city

American Express regional executives from Global Network Services (GNS), Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia (JAPA), including Cheng Heng Chew, Vice President and Head of New Business Partnerships and Arnar Abrol, Vice President of GNS Merchant Strategy, arrived in Dhaka this week for a two day visit.
They conducted the 1st City Bank & American Express merchant workshop in the city Thursday.
City Bank's acting Managing Director Sohail R K Hussain and Heng Chew jointly inaugurated the event to take merchants through American Express brand and its commitment to quality services. Merchants will also learn about the card acceptance process, protection against card fraud and driving business growth by accepting American Express Cards. Head of Retail Banking & Chief Communications Officer Mashrur Arefin and Head of Cards Anwar Hossain from City Bank also attended.
Cheng Heng Chew is responsible for developing new market entry plans, forging strategic alliances and leading new initiatives for American Express Global Network Services in the JAPA region. He is also responsible for managing relationships with major strategic alliance partners, card issuers and acquirers, including City Bank in Bangladesh.
Arnar Abrol is responsible for managing and building the merchant business with GNS partners across Independent Operator (I0) Markets. Mr Abrol is also responsible for the Insurance and Emerging Payments strategy for the GNS JAPA business.
