American fencers take bronze in team event

BEIJING, Aug 14 : American fencers won the bronze medal in women's sabre team event at the Beijing Olympics here Thursday.
The US sabre team defeated France at 45-38. Mariel Zagunis of the US team, the defending individual event champion said: "Bronze medal is really a good place in the Olympics. The three of us all take two medals home, I'm happy with this.
"We fought better than we did in the morning. Beijing Olymics is good experience for me. Fencing is a small circle, but here I meet so many new friends." said Becca Ward, who won the bronze medal in the individual event at the Beijing Games.
