Amex makes the top 50 list in Fortune magazine

American Express, one of the best recognised financial services brand, worldwide, was ranked 29th on the Fortune most admired list. This is the 14th year in a row American Express has made the list of Most Admired companies.
In the survey, American Express also ranked No. 2 in Consumer Credit Card and Related Services, leading the industry in most of the key attributes that drive reputation- innovation, people management, social responsibility, quality of management and quality of products and services.

The magazine is especially known for its annual features ranking companies by revenue. The Fortune list includes, Fortune 500, Fortune 1000, Fortune Global 500, Fortune 40 Under 40, Fortune 100 Best Companies To Work For, Fortune America's Most Admired Companies, Fortune Global Most Admired Company.
In addition to Fortune's recognition, the Ponemon Institute -- a prestigious research institute specialising in data protection and information security -- ranked American Express No. 1 on their list of Most Trusted Companies for Privacy, for the third consecutive year.
Last year American Express was ranked highest in customer satisfaction among credit card issuers, according to the third annual nationwide study by J.D. Power and Associates. The study ranked American Express highest in overall satisfaction among 21 of the largest card issuers in the US.
