Aminur Rahman re-appointed Janata Bank MD

SM Aminur Rahman has been re-appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Janata Bank Limited for the next two years.
Following a unanimous decision of the bank's board of directors and approved by the central bank, Mr Rahman was re-appointed in his past position in the bank, applicable from January 28, 2010, Janata Bank office said.
SM Aminur Rahman began his carrier as a banker with Sonali Bank Ltd in 1976. He obtained his MBA from the IBA of Dhaka University. During his long professional carrier he served in a number of high positions in Janata and Sonali Banks.
In January 1, 2008, Mr Rahman was appointed CEO & MD of Janata Bank under the EGBMP (Enterprise Growth and Bank Modernization Project) of World Bank for two years.
