Amu violates electoral code of conduct: EC

The Election Commission (EC) has apprised the Prime Minister (PM) about alleged violation of Code of Conduct by Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu during the fourth phase of the Upazila Parishad elections, EC joint secretary Jesmin Tuli told bdnews24.com Monday.
On 21 Mar, Amu had allegedly introduced an Awami League candidate to people at a ceremony at Jhalakathi's Rajapur.
Awami League candidate Moniruzzaman won the Upazila polls.
The EC sent a letter to the PM through the Cabinet Division Sunday, on the day when the fourth phase of the Upazila polls was held.
