Amusement hot-spots in and around Dhaka city saw a rush of visitors on Monday and Tuesday – 2nd and 3rd day of a 3-day Eid vacation which ended on Wednesday morning. After a busy Monday morning, the Eid day, people with their families and friends visited the places of interest, including Shahbagh’s Shishu Park and Dhaka Zoo at Mirpur in the afternoon. The children’s park and the zoo are two most-visited places in the capital by people irrespective of their age every Eid. Nandan Aprk and Fantasy Kingdom in Ashulia also saw a large number of visitors on the Eid day. Apart from these four, entertainment attractions like Ramna Park, Chandrima Udyan and National Botanical Garden also saw a huge rush in the last two days. Many were also seen travelling by rickshaw on the city’s major thoroughfares, empty after the Eid exodus, as there was no bar on rickshaws plying on them during the Eid holidays. Besides, people were seen crowing the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and spots surrounding the parliament building, according to a news agency.
